Landscapes Black & White

I have a love of warm toned black and white images – they seem to convey more emotion than colour. You are more reliant on line and light and the process reminds me fondly of nights in the darkroom with my Father when he was creating his images. I am continually in awe of the masters of black and white light – Edward Weston, Bill Brandt, Sebastio Salgado, Ansel Adams and Laurence Aberhart – they seem to convey an essence in their images, a crafted beauty created by a feeling for timing, exquisite light and a decisive moment.
