I am a firm believer in giving something back to the community that I live in. I have been a volunteer Ambulance Officer in Alexandra for the last 29+ years. I am currently a Team Leader and the training coordinator for Central Otago Search & Rescue (COSAR), as well as being a member of the sub alpine group of Wanaka Search & Rescue. I am also a member of the Incident Management team in Wanaka SAR.
I have previously acted as the Co-Chair of the Alexandra Youth in Emergency Services (YES) programme, an exciting option for Central Otago youth which gave them a taste of five key emergency services (Ambulance, Coastguard, SAR, Fire Emergency NZ and Rural Fire) with the view to increasing the volunteer base in the future.
